The 138th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and is scheduled for November 16th2022, and will be held under the theme “The Driving Force for Sustainable Business and Community Prosperity for St. Lucia’.
This will be the first in person gathering of Chamber members since the revised protocols were issued. The last two Annual General Meetings were conducted using digital technology and members now welcome the refreshing return to face-to- face networking opportunities for which the Chambers is known for.
The Feature Address at the 138th Annual General Meeting will be delivered by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture, and Information Dr. Ernest Hilaire. The Deputy Prime Minister will speak to the Business Community during the open session on How Government Policy and Legislative Agenda seeks to empower the Local Investor & Business Community. The Open Session of the Annual General Meeting will also be addressed by the President of the Chamber Mr. Trevor Louisy.
The second segment of the AGM - the Closed Session, will incorporate the critical business of the organization where the Executive Director’s Report, and the Auditor’s Report will be presented. Election of Officers will also take place during the closed session.

The Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) is set to observe the 15th anniversary of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), from Monday 14th November to Sunday 20th November 2022, under the theme: “Education, Ecosystems, Inclusion, Policy”. Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest celebration of innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth, and expand human welfare.
In this regard, the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture has remained committed to enhancing the local entrepreneurial landscape and this initiative will certainly support the vision of many aspiring entrepreneurs, who are expected to showcase their innovative business concepts. The event is slated to culminate with activities and discussions dedicated to providing a platform for many enthusiastic entrepreneurs, who will be afforded the opportunity to identify, connect and establish relationships with key stakeholders within the local business community. Additionally, patrons will stand a chance to benefit from the products and services offered on display throughout the course of the week.

Sales Champion Training Scheduled for November 30

Our Upskilling programs are meant to provide staff with critical tools that will help firms be more successful and capable during these challenging times.
Once again, we present “Becoming a Sales Champion” a personalized training and mentoring program purposefully designed to address individual and organizational challenges which have in the past stalled success preventing Sales Personnel from being propelled into Sales Champions.
The program will assist sales professionals at various tiers. A pre training consultation will be utilized so the Facilitator will gain a concise understanding of each participants distinct needs.
This Training Session is deliberately scheduled before the commencement of the critical fourth quarter, with the aim of ensuring participants have an extremely, profitable, and successfully sales outcome at the end of 2022. Training Dates are November 30th and December 1st 2022.

The St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce welcomes Cedric Populo as the newest member of our team. Cedric joined the team in September and works with the Martinique Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a project officer. He will be working on the Interreg project; Strengthening the Caribbean Business Community (SCBC) and will be based in St. Lucia until July 2023.
The project “Strengthening the Caribbean Business Community” is the result of a partnership started in 2019 with the objective of uniting the Chambers of Commerce of the Caribbean region (23 up to today) in a network, CARICHAM, in order to consolidate the action and service offering of the Caribbean private sector.
CCI Martinique is the lead on that project with the Saint-Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (SLCCIA), the Regional Arbitration Centre of the Caribbean Business Law Organization (CARO) and SOS Kriz.”
