IMPORTANT NOTICE: SCHEDULED WATER SERVICE INTERRUPTION
WASCO to Undertake Urgent Pipeline Repairs – March 5, 2025
The Water and Sewerage Company Inc. (WASCO) has announced that the date for the scheduled water interruption was moved forward to February 27th, 2025, due to, due,due to the extensive damage to the pipeline. As a result, they have decided to expedite the repairs to reduce significant water loss, which is affecting water pressure available to consumers in the northern areas.
Who Will Be Affected?
Customers from Millet to Cap Estate (excluding Babonneau) may experience service interruptions. This pipeline is critical to the northern water distribution system, supplying water to at least 60% of consumers, including businesses, tourism, and cruise sectors.
How Long Will It Last?
Water supply is expected to be restored within 48 hours, but areas at higher elevations may experience additional delays as the system stabilizes.
