Today marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to empowering at-risk youth as we unveil our latest initiative, the Youth Empowerment Network Project (YENP). With a dedicated focus on nurturing the potential of our young individuals facing adversities, YENP aims to provide them with the tools, resources and mentorship necessary to thrive and succeed. This initiative targets aspiring youth, young leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs between the ages of 16-35 with a special focus on at-risk male and youth from marginalized communities.
In collaboration with the BYBT Barbados, the Dominica Youth Business Trust, local partners and stakeholders, YENP has been meticulously curated to address the unique challenges faced by at-risk youth in our communities. By offering a coordinated, comprehensive program and support system, we aspire to cultivate a nurturing environment where every young person feels valued, supported, and empowered to pursue their dreams, hopes and aspirations.
“At-risk youth are often faced with numerous obstacles that can hinder their personal and professional development,” said Fabian Isaac, Coordinator, Saint Lucia Youth Business Trust. “Through this project, we aim to break down those barriers and harness the energy of youth towards more productive activities and support their contribution towards the development of their communities.”
