The Chamber has observed that many firms are oblivious to the resources and support available to them to support the development and expansion of their businesses. Many are not aware that there are regional agencies with various resources, financial and technical, that they can benefit from. This lack of awareness is prevalent, because the information is broadly dispersed and not consolidated in any single place and easily accessed and utilized.
The St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, in seeking to strengthen the business support and facilitation infrastructure available to its’ members, will be hosting on June 1st,2023, The Resource Agency Forum, under the theme Making Business Support Accessible.
The Resource Agency Forum is expected to commence at 2:00 p.m., with pointed presentations on the support available, and provided by the participating agencies, that so far include, the Caribbean Development Bank, Caribbean Export, Caricom Development Fund, Export St. Lucia, St. Lucia Development Bank, the Bank of Saint Lucia, and Invest Saint Lucia who is also a sponsor of the Event. There will be ample opportunities for dialogue between presenters and participants.
This event continues the development series initiated by the Chamber in 2021, Accessing Available Incentives, Concessions and Support, which has been attended by over100 firms, then the second module, “How to Access Available Incentives, Concessions and Support “, a practical Workshop attended by over 45 firms and now this Resource Agency Forum, that brings regional agencies to the table to engage St. Lucia based businesses. Interested firms are urged to contact the Chamber regarding participation via email info@stluciachamber.org and telephone 758 452 3165.
